New Hard Hats and High Heels CommitteeWe are just beginning the process of planning a signature fundraising event for Blue Spruce Habitat – the Hard Hats and High Heels event to take place this summer.  We are looking for people who enjoy event planning, marketing and public relations, have good contacts in the community or want to help in any way. Please contact Pandora Reagan, Development Director if you would like to be involved with this wonderful event and great group of people.  303-674-1127 Ext. 3 or preagan@bluesprucehabitat.org

Family Services Committee - This committee meets every first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm.  The Family Services Committee has the task of selecting the neediest families based on certain criteria and once selected, the future homeowner is partnered with a family support person (someone from the committee that is willing to be a support partner). This one-on-one relationship is the oldest, most effective and most popular form of family support utilized by Habitat for Humanity affiliates.

Partner families or homeowners who have this type of relationship with a committee member seem better able to communicate with the affiliate and have a better understanding of the building process. That partner acts as a liaison between the homeowner and Blue Spruce Habitat during the building process and continues for a year after.

After giving our current family some wonderful news recently, her support partner turned to me with tears in her eyes and said "This is what it's all about". Not only does mentoring a family change their lives but the support person also receives many blessings in the process.

There are also pot luck dinners or informational gatherings periodically to introduce current homeowners, meet with the staff and to socialize with each other.  This is a wonderful committee to be involved with.  Come join us!  Contact Susan to find out more.

Development Committee - The development committee's purpose is to increase Habitat' presence in the community, find potential partners and donors, step up marketing and outreach efforts, reach out to the faith and business community, help with special events and more. You can get involved as you see fit and where your talents lie. The committee meets once a month. Contact Pandora to find out more.
