Abandoned
by a dumpster at the age of four, Hazzell Canelos never knew a real
home. She spent her childhood shuffled from foster home to foster home,
always longing for a family to adopt her and give her love and stability.
She knew of Habitat for Humanity at a young age, and she says, “Habitat always spoke to me because
it was all about home – something I never really had.”
