High Country Low Country Boil. Saturday, August 21st at 6:30 pm.  Summer’s not over and a relaxed Southern vacation vibe will come alive in the High Country. Join hostess Susan Eagle on her lovely deck in Genesee for a casual evening of live acoustic music by the talented guitarist David Devitt and a traditional low country shrimp and sausage boil. You’ll have a great time gathering around the tables and digging in for this scrumptious feast! You will also be treated to a special Southern style libation along with wine and beer; and you won’t want to miss the homemade bread pudding.

Raise the Roof at the famous Sculptured House.  Sunday, September 12th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This sell-out event is back by popular demand. Join us for the unique opportunity to experience this incredible home designed by Charles Deaton and featured in the Woody Allan movie “Sleeper”. Socialize throughout the entire house, enjoy hearty appetizers from Mt. Vernon Country Club, partake in wine and beer on the fabulous deck, listen to live music and watch the sun set.

 

You will truly help raise the roof for a Habitat home by participating in a paddle auction to “purchase” part of the roof and home, and by buying a champagne glass and taking a chance at wonderful prizes. So help raise the roof for families in need while on top of the world at the incredible Sculptured House!

Hole It For Habitat! Saturday, September 25th from 6pm until…. Bring a foursome or have us match you up for this innovative and rambunctious “9 hole” golf party! You will putt your way through nine holes at one of Mesa View Estates’ (formerly known as 6th Avenue Estates) most spectacular homes. Each hole will have a special cocktail plus chances to win great prizes! You’ll enjoy fairway food from the “Caddyshack” inspired snack shack. Dress in your most outrageous golf attire for a “Best Dressed” contest and get a little silly at this fun and interactive evening of miniature golf while

taking in panoramic views from the eastern plains to the front range mountains. The Gold Law Firm is graciously sponsoring complimentary rides home.

Barnyard Bash and Boogie.  Friday, October 15th from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Party down at the stunning Lonestar Barn in El Rancho with Bev and Mark Conklin. This will be a wonderful night out at this exceptional venue for everyone, especially parents. Enjoy wine, beer and additional special tastings of a variety of libations. You will feast on plentiful gourmet hors d’oeuvres from Fresh Tracks catering such as seared tuna with mango salsa, lobster bisque, and beef tenderloin sliders.

 

The very popular and energetic Evergreen band Boo Daddy will get you dancing! To top it off, Evergreen Country Day School will be providing an evening of entertaining activities for your children at the school while you enjoy the bash at the barn just down the street.

Literary Brunch with Author Philip Yancey.  Saturday, October 16th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.  We are so pleased to present Philip Yancey, prolific author with 15 million books in print. His 20 books include What’s So Amazing About Grace?, named book of the year in 1998 by the Christian Publisher’s Association. Yancey has explored the most basic questions and deepest mysteries of the Christian faith, taking millions of readers with him. I’m a pilgrim”, says Yancey, “recovering from a bad church upbringing, searching for a faith that makes its followers larger and not smaller.” Philip is also a personal friend of Millard Fuller, founder of Habitat for Humanity. Philip will discuss his new Book What Good Is God? and take your questions while you enjoy a champagne brunch at the absolutely gorgeous home of Carol and Dick Fontane in
