Partnership
is at the heart of becoming a Habitat Homeowner. Selected Families
enter into a long term relationship with Habitat for Humanity. Partner
families are expected to continue working with Habitat throughout the
building process and act as ambassadors of Habitat's programs even
after construction is complete.
Following are the key factors in qualifying to become a Habitat Partner Family:
Housing Need: Housing need is evaluated based on structural issues, living space, safety, stability, and rent burden.
Ability to Pay: Need to meet the following income guidelines and be able to fulfill your mortgage obligation to Habitat.

Willingness to Partner: Timeliness of your application and supporting documents, understanding of our sweat equity requirements, the willingness to contribute 250 hours per adult applicant to the construction of your home, and eagerness to fulfill these requirements are all considered in gauging a family’s willingness to partner.
Residency: Blue Spruce Habitat Partner Families
must have lived or worked in our service area for at least one of
the last three years. Our service area includes western Jefferson
County, Clear Creek County and the eastern part of Park County. This
includes the communities of Aspen Park, Bergen Park, Conifer, El
Rancho, Evergreen, Floyd Hill, Genesee, Indian Hills, Idaho Springs,
Georgetown, Kittredge, Lookout Mountain, Morrison, Pine Junction,
Tiny Town, Bailey, Burland Ranchettes, Deer Creek Valley Ranchos,
Harris Park, Shawnee and Grant.
