Thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers, we had a successful completion of our 2009 build! Two families moved into their new habitat homes before Christmas and enjoying home ownership.
We will begin a home for Tammy Marshall in mid to late summer. The home will be located on Sioux Trail off Beaver Brook Road. Please check back for updates and volunteer sign-up.
For more information call Susan Brubaker at 303-674-1127 Ext.2.
Volunteering on the construction site is a fun, rewarding, and learning experience. We build on Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays from 8:30am till 4:30pm. No experience is needed! A skilled supervisor will teach you what you need to know. You can sign up for one day, or many days. It’s up to you!
There are many ways that you can volunteer:
Regular Volunteers – These are the volunteers that just can’t stay away from Habitat - and we love them for that. They are the perpetual resource that drives our mission to build quality affordable housing in the Evergreen area. Habitat Regulars come often and are familiar with our building process. We appreciated their continued support!
Women Build Days: We enjoyed having special build days designated for women to encourage even more women to get involved with Habitat’s mission. The "Women Only" build days where great experience with much camaraderie and bonding are shared. We really make a difference! If you have any questions or would like to schedule your own "Women Only" build day contact Susan Brubaker at 303-674-1127 ext. 2
Crew Leaders: Crew leaders will work along with the Site Supervisor and lead a small group of volunteers on the construction site. Construction experience is necessary and will help to keep the project safe and enjoyable. Volunteer to be a crew leader for one day or on a regular basis-whatever your schedule permits. Having another crew leader on the construction site allows us to double our volunteer limits. The more the merrier!

We also have many non-construction ways to volunteer. Please go to the “Other Volunteers” page to find out more!

Adopt-a-Day: Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity depends on local resources and volunteers to construct its homes. Consider asking your company, faith congregation or organization to make a significant and tangible difference by combining their volunteer efforts with a contribution to help pay for the construction materials that are needed for one day on the work site.
