Volunteering on the construction site is a fun, rewarding, and learning
experience. No experience is needed! A skilled supervisor will
teach you what you need to know. You can sign up for one day, or
many days. We also have many wonderful “regulars” who
come out on a weekly basis. It’s up to you!
We typically build in the spring, summer and fall, and do not build
in the winter months. Currently we are on the last stages of remodeling
an old cabin, and adding an addition to it. The cabin is on Early Morn
Lane in Evergreen (Click
here for map). Sign on as an individual, bring a friend, or bring
a group from work, your church or synagogue, or from your community organization!
You can sign up now through our scheduling database. We plan to
continue working on this home through mid-September. If you are
interested in non-construction opportunities, please go to the “Other
Volunteers” page.
Volunteer Days are Tues, Thurs, Sat
8:30 am to 4:30pm
Women Build Days: We
enjoyed having special build days on our current project designated for
women only to encourage even more women to get involved with Habitat’s
mission. Thanks to all the wonderful women that
showed up for those days! The Women Build days turned out to be
a success with much camaraderie and bonding. We really made a difference! You
may still bring a group of 7-10 friends, neighbors or co-workers and
sign up for your own Women Build day. Lunch provided!
Contact Susan Brubaker at 303-674-1127 ext. 2 if interested.
Women
Build is a Habitat for Humanity International program that
encourages women to make a difference by building homes and communities.
Since Women Build’s official creation in 1998, Women Build
volunteers have constructed more than 1,200 homes around the world. Learn
more about the program at http://www.habitat.org/wb/default.aspx
Adopt-a-Day: Blue Spruce Habitat for Humanity
depends on local resources and volunteers to construct its homes. Consider
asking your company, faith congregation or organization to make a significant
and tangible difference by combining their volunteer efforts with a contribution
to help pay for the construction materials that are needed for one day
on the worksite.
